Dahlia Farms' products are unlike anything you will find in a commercial store. In a world full of synthetics, I wanted to give you something real. I used my background in sciences and healthcare to formulate all-natural products that you can feel good about. All of my products are handmade by me (Cora) from top-of-the-line natural ingredients.
Candles & Wax Melts
All candles and wax melts are individually handcrafted from 100% pure soy wax and essential oils. Every cotton wick is placed by hand, and each batch of wax is hand mixed and poured. So, why do I do things this way? Did you know that most commercial candles are made from paraffin or soy blend waxes? While those waxes are cheaper, when burned they contain petroleum and other substances which produce toxic fumes that not only damage your home but can be detrimental to your health. Likewise, artificial fragrance oils used in those candles can have similar effects. Some long-term side effects of artificial candles include respiratory illnesses, allergies, and in some cases cancer. My candles allow you to enjoy your favorite fragrances without any of the fear or side effects. As an added bonus my jars are designed to contain the flame of your candle and come with a threaded lid to seal when not in use.
Soaps & Lotion Bars
Did you know that the skin is actually an organ? It is also considered the first line of defense in the immune system. As such, like other organs your skin absorbs components of what it is touching. That is part of why it is so important to take care of. When using soaps with synthetic fragrances and ingredients, consequences can go much deeper than skin irritation. Some long-term consequences of continuous use go as far as disrupting hormone regulation and causing antibiotic resistance in some folks. This is why all of my soaps are handcrafted from natural ingredients. The use of organic oils, butters, fats, real lye, and sometimes goat's milk allows me to formulate something safe for everyone. Some soaps are fragrance free or lightly fragranced for folks with extra sensitive skin. Soaps that are fragranced are made with skin-safe real essential oils for a natural scent.
